A clear and gastronomic Vesuvian Piedirosso: born from grapes grown in the Vesuvius National Park, on black sands and lapilli that give the wine an unmistakable mineral tension. The traditional red vinification in steel preserves the fragrance and purity of the fruit. In the glass, it is bright ruby; on the nose, it opens with a floral and fruity bouquet: the typical geranium of the grape variety, crisp cherry and currant, touches of pomegranate and a smoky hint in the tones of graphite.
On the palate, it is subtle and juicy, with vibrant freshness that lightens the drink and delicate tannins perfectly integrated. The saline-mineral trail extends the sip and leads to a clean, precise finish, with returns of red fruit and fine spice that invite a second glass. Serve at 16–18 °C in a medium-sized glass; a brief decanting enhances its aromas without losing momentum.
Recommended pairings
Perfect with tomato sauces, eggplant parmigiana, and mushroom risotto; it also works great with pizza (margherita/marinara/diavola), Neapolitan ragù, roast white meats, sausage with friarielli, and platters of cold cuts and young cheeses.
Why Nero Vesuviano
We chose it because it’s Piedirosso as we understand it: territorial, clean, gastronomic. It comes from vineyards in the Vesuvius National Park and carries the Vesuvio DOP label; in the cellar, the steel vinification preserves the clear fruit and distinct aromas—geranium, cherry, small red fruits—without overstructures. In the mouth, it is fresh and smooth, with fine tannins and a mineral/graphite tone that tells the story of the volcano; the slight saline trail extends the sip and invites a second.
