Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio DOP

From the vineyards between Monte Somma and Vesuvio, in the heart of the Vesuvio National Park, comes a white wine that tells the brighter and Mediterranean side of the territory. Soils of sand and lapilli, sea breezes, and thermal excursions give a fragrant and mineral profile: white-fleshed fruit (pear, peach), citrus zest (lime, citron), scrub herbs(thyme, marjoram) and a floral hint reminiscent of broom. On the palate, it is juicy and fresh, smooth but with a saline core that extends its stride; the acidity is fine, the body is slender, and the volcanic echo returns in the clear and savory finish, with hints of citrus and almond. A clean and inviting sip, designed for the second glass.

Recommended pairings

Perfect with raw and marinated dishes — amberjack or tuna tartare, lemon anchovies, sea bass carpaccio, and even oysters — where the citrus freshness of the wine cleanses the palate and invites a sip. It also works great with seafood fries(mixed fried fish, battered cod) thanks to its saline trail. For first courses, it prefers clear flavors: spaghetti with clams, linguine with Piennòlo tomatoes, or citrus and shrimp risotto. For second courses, it shines with cod and stockfish, and with all grilled bluefish (mackerel, bonito, anchovies), where the mineral component enhances the iodized-smoky part. Also excellent alongside buffalo mozzarella, fresh provola, and seasonal vegetables — zucchini alla scapece, seafood salads, light grills — and with white pizza.

Why Nero Vesuviano

Lacryma Christi White is a Blend Caprettone–Falanghina that combines freshness and volcanic minerality: it adheres to our manifesto “Mineral. Elegant. Gourmet.”, and is the natural companion to our Preserves (Piennòlo tomatoes, friarielli, creams).
