From the vineyards in Madonna delle Gavete area, on Monte Somma in the heart of the Vesuvio National Park, at about 400 m a.s.l., comes a Falanghina that combines elegance and volcanic character.

The sandy and lapilli soils offer a fine and bright profile: in the glass, it is crystalline straw yellow, on the nose, there are white flowers, citrus (lime, cedar, mandarin), plum, apple, and pear, with a subtle mineral note reminiscent of Vesuvio stone.

On the palate, it is subtle yet structured: the attack is soft and fruity, the freshness extends the sip, the mid-palate remains juicy, and the finish is clean, savory, perfect for everyday meals and for those who love clear and gastronomic Vesuvian whites.

Recommended pairings

Madonna delle Gavete is a versatile Falanghina, designed for seafood dishes and Mediterranean cuisine:

  • Seafood appetizers – octopus and potato salad, marinated anchovies, steamed shrimp.

  • First courses – spaghetti with clams, linguine with scampi, light Piennòlo pasta, seafood risotto.

  • Fish main courses – baked white fish (sea bream, sea bass), grilled amberjack or swordfish steaks, not too structured blue fish.

  • Dairy and vegetables – buffalo mozzarella, fior di latte, fresh ricotta, grilled vegetables, zucchini alla scapece, summer salads.

In the Nero Vesuviano style, it is perfect with our Piennòlo Preserves (passata and pulp for simple yet intense first courses), with Piennòlo Powder as a finishing touch on raw dishes and seafood salads, and with the Citrus lines (oils and condiments) to play on citrus notes.
